Branding Project in collaboration with Mukund V.R, 211 Studio and Green Goose Design for the Lodhi Hotel, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

Revamped, renamed and rebranded, The Aman, New Delhi is now and once agains The Lodhi, New Delhi. This Luxury Resort is an oasis of the fringes of the majestic Lutyens Delhi and at the edge of the city's spunky south. The Aman was the first ciry based hotel, a peaceful retreat in the middle of a frantic city.

Located in the heart of heritage Delhi, it provided a unique expirience of the essence of India. The DLF group assigned the agency the task of rebranding this hotel to "The Lodhi" to present a quality service that offers a luxury destination to the affluent of Delhi for all their cultural as well as recreational needs. The new space and it's identity aimed at creating a perfect balance of private indoor and vibrant outdoors. Goin back to the Indian history, the name inheriently drew inference to the 15th century Lodhit dynasty, encouraging us to explore cistom typography and motids from that era to see how it would fit in with the geometric aspects of the architecture. Our design solution identified and iconified the different facilities offered by the hotel, finally drawing them all into a beautiful seal refelecting a Lodhi dynasty coin. While the idea was to have strong cultural references, and reflect Indias rich history, it's dynamic present and exciting future, it was also very important to unify a cross cultural and international aesthetic as a mark of exceleence for the hotel's special brand of hospitality and modern architecture.
